Evidence-Based Therapy
That Work.
Children
I specialize in treating children ages birth to twelve who have experienced trauma, grief, separation and life transitions. These types of experiences can leave children feeling anxious, depressed or struggling with symptoms of PTSD. I utilize Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to address these symptoms.
Caregivers
Parenting is hard. Like, really hard. Parenting a child who has experienced a trauma or life stressor can result in caregivers feeling inadequate and at a loss for what to do. Supporting parents and caregivers improves treatment outcomes for children and teens. For that reason, all treatments have a parenting support component built-in.
Teens
Teens present with a unique concern. While they still need steady reassurances from caregivers, it’s also normal that they might turn to their peers for guidance. When a teen experiences a traumatic experience, life-transition or loss it can leave parents or caregivers struggling to understand how to help. I utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for teens who are struggling with trauma symptoms and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to address anxiety and depressive symptoms.
Clinical Supervision
I reserve limited capacity to provide clinical supervision to select clinicians who desire to specialize in evidence-based & trauma-focused treatment modalities for children and families.
